Way back in Episode 2 Charles Judson came on to discuss the state of Atlanta film and what needed to be done. He had just left the Atlanta Film Festival and saw a clear direction for the industry. Plus, he talked about forming something called Film Bar Mondays and he told us CinemATL would be a great place for the podcast.

Three years later, he came back on the show to take stock of the good and the bad. Where have we advanced, and what needs to be done? Is it all doom and gloom or are we headed in the right direction? What can you personally do to make things better? Find out in this episode!

ANNOUNCEMENTS MENTIONED IN THE EPISODE

Film Bar Monday tonight (5/1) we're at The Independent. Next week (5/8) we're at Joystick Gamebar. Check http://filmbarmondays.com for all dates and locations!

Head to Smith's Olde Bar Wednesday (5/3) night at 7 PM for the Atlanta Black List Happy Hour! This month's special guests are Brian Egeston (House of Payne, The Rickey Smiley Show) & Adrian Dukes (The Rickey Smiley Show, Mommy Uncensored).

Chuck is shooting a pilot! "More Than a Game" is a reality show about the competitors in the pro gaming world. When they're not competing for millions of dollars they have jobs, school, plus friends and family to see, and they struggle to balance these two worlds. We're raising funds for meals for our crew and talent. If you can throw us a few dollars (or more) we would greatly appreciate it!

Actors, do you need taping services in Atlanta? Head to Frat Pack Productions! Are you auditioning for a show like The Walking Dead or Stranger Things? Tape with actors from those shows or similar projects instead of just getting shoved into an empty room and left to your own devices. Plus, they're open 7 days a week!

Make sure to check out the great local project "The Red Cape" - a short drama from local producer Brendon Murphy.  A young black boy and his father struggle to survive the 1898 Wilmington Race Riot - the only proven violent overthrow of a government in US History. Follow the project at facebook.com/RedCapeMovie!
