It seems like the tax incentives that brought the film industry to Georgia in a major way have been around forever, but in reality it’s only been 12 years. One of the people responsible for the incentive program is Peter Stathopoulos, tax attorney currently at Bennett Thrasher’s State and Local Tax.

Recently, you may have seen in the news there’s been talk of an audit of the incentive program, and scares of the incentives disappearing entirely. Naturally, everyone in our industry is worried their jobs are in danger. We sat down with Peter to chat about these latest developments, the origin of the incentives, and what he sees for the future!

VIDEO EXCLUSIVE FOR PATREON MEMBERS: Peter gives a great tip for filmmakers to take advantage of the incentives. Grab it and all our exclusive videos for as low as $1 a month!
