Making any documentary always presents a challenge, but what if your subject is walking the entirety of the Appalachian Trail at a record pace? What if you need to follow their entire journey and you run out of money? What if nothing happens that you want to happen and you still need to make a film?

All these and issues and more arose in the making of the documentary Running A.T. Full Speed, following the journey of Drew Burnett who hopes to break the record of hiking the entire Appalachian Trail. Director Ryan Simmons and editor Jeff Walsh came on the show to discuss the making of the film, why unscripted content is so popular with audiences, the world of Appalachian Trail hiking, and much more!
