Georgia State's Elizabeth Strickler Tells Atlanta Film Chat What's in Store for Film Education in Georgia

If you just want the episode, you can find it on iTunes and Stitcher.

We've discussed the film education system in Georgia and how it needs to step up to meet the ever growing list of demands on previous shows. However, we haven't had any educators on to defend themselves and what might be coming around the corner.

Luckily we had several answer us back and one of the first was Elizabeth Strickler, Associate Director of Georgia State University's Digital Arts Entertainment Lab. Turns out there is a ton going on in the education system that we had no idea about and things are going in the right direction.

Elizabeth lays everything out for us including all the great work going into the Georgia Film Academy and universities around the city and state. If you have any interest in the future beyond the tax breaks you should check out this episode!

Film Bar Mondays this week (5/11) is at Joystick and next week (5/18) it's at Argosy. Go meet some local filmmakers and drink up (in moderation of course)!

Our previous guests Archangel: From the Winter's End Chronicles have set up a new Indiegogo! If you loved the two episodes they put out you should check out the fundraiser for their feature film. They have lots of fun rewards for you to pick up.
