It's almost that time! Not too long before we're all streaming downtown to check out tons of movies, hobnob with celebs, and trying to figure out what outfit best works with a lanyard. That's right, the Atlanta Film Festival is right around the corner!
Naturally, your favorite podcast Atlanta Film Chat is covering the festival and many of its filmmakers. We have several episodes lined up so look for way more episodes in the coming weeks than normal. This week only has one episode but starting next week we'll have two a week, one on Monday and one on Wednesday.
Our first episode in our series highlights the short animated film Starlight! Directors Tamarind King, Yu Ueda, Shir Wen Sun, and Ginger Tontaveetong came on to discuss how having four directors worked, their time at SCAD, what they love about animation, and a ton more.
Starlight screens in the Animation Block on March 24th at 9 PM at 7 Stages, so go check it out!
Zombie Cat Productions will be at the Atlanta Film Festival! Our TV pilot "Pepper's Place" is showing on March 28th at 10 PM. If you want to go make sure to get tickets ASAP as this show WILL sell out.
Film Bar Monday tonight March 2nd is at the Independent. Next week: Joystick.
This week sees the very first edition of Film Bar Wednesday! Head to Johnnie MacCracken's in Marietta Wednesday night from 6 until around 11 to hang out with film folks. The same rules apply - no headshots, no business cards, no desperation.
