Atlanta gets nicknames like "Hollywood East" that don't exactly tell the whole story. This implies that the town is only filled with huge, big budget studio films like The Hunger Games. However, there are still a ton of indie films being made all over the city and the state, including this week's guest on Atlanta Film Chat.

Atlanta Vampire Movie is one such indie film. It's an ambitious project that's a parody type film in a similar vein of Airplane! and Superhero Movie. To find out more we brought on three of the brains involved with the movie to talk about their struggles getting it made and the inspiration behind it.

Announcements from the intro:

Film Bar Monday tonight (February 23rd) is at Mac Magee's. Next week on March 2nd the cycle begins again at The Independent.

There's also Film Bar Wednesday now, with every first and third Wednesday featuring a meetup at Johnnie MacCracken's in Marietta. Head out to the very first one next week on March 4th.

We have a ton of episodes recorded or scheduled for our Atlanta Film Festival series that starts in March. If you're an Atlanta filmmaker with a movie in this year's fest email us at atlfilmchat@gmail.com.
