If you're involved in film in Atlanta you've most likely heard of the 48 Hour Film Project. In fact, you've probably participated at least once. If you're like us at Zombie Cat Productions it was a fun and intense way to figure out how much you like making movies and how well you work under pressure.
It's another year and another edition of the 48 is upon us the weekend of June 27th-29th. Things have changed since we did the 48 so many years ago - for one, the team count has gone way up. This year they have a record 92 teams participating with several waiting in the wings. This means there are a bunch of people out there who have no idea what to expect.
To help them out, we sat down with City Producers Paula Martinez and Gabe Wardell. They told us what participants can expect this year plus a few surprises and exclusives. Even if you've done the 48 before you should check out this episode for some pretty great tips on how to make your film that much better.
Later this week we'll also have an episode featuring Tony Holley, Location Manager for many films that have come to Atlanta. Locations are always a tough thing to handle for any film crew let alone ones trying to make a movie in 48 hours. Look for that this Wednesday. For now, hope you enjoy this episode!
