Atlanta Film Chat Hits Episode 50 with ASIFA Atlanta

Can you believe we've done 50 of these things? Here's to 50 more!

Everyone likes to hang out with other like-minded individuals, especially with others who get your unique struggles in life. Considering how much time animators spend alone in their office or room working 18-19 hour days they need a group to help them find others like them. ASIFA, or Association Internationale du Film d'Animation, is that group, with chapters all over the world.

Fatimah Abdullah and Jennifer Chandler from the Atlanta chapter of ASIFA came on the show to talk about the group. They also go into how they got started in animation, the unique struggles of animators, and fighting the stereotype of animation as being just for kids.
